Help !!! Can somebody please give me a dummies guide to setting up a guitar synth system using Thumbjam ?
I am using Irig and Sampletank, but without any joy. There are a couple of YouTube video's, but no joy there either.
Don't know if it's allowed but am prepared to give my email address to any potential helpers

Cheers

First, make go into the system settings app under Privacy->Microphone, and make sure ThumbJam is enabled in that list.

Now, in ThumbJam with your iRig plugged in, turn on the pitch tracking mode by pressing the button with the mic and notes on it. Test it out, see if you hear anything from the loaded TJ instrument. If you are good there, and want to use SampleTank as the sound source, go to Prefs->MIDI Control and enable SampleTank in the output connections (assuming you have already started it and it's running in the background). Then, to silence TJ's own sounds, go to Sound->Volume/iPod and switch the Mute instrument to On.

Once you're that far, we can discuss the best settings....
