Wi-Fi controller

Sorry for my second post here this evening.
I've managed to get Thumbjam working as a midi controller in Cubase. I'm using rtpMIDI over wi-fi.
It will work for a bit, then a note will stick. And I loose the connection.
I was hoping I'd be able to record what I was playing in thumbjam in Cubase but as soon as I press record I loose the connection again. Anyone tried this? got any tips?
