Session Record?

Post by Soulwire »

Could "Quantize Start" and "Session Record" be clarified. "Quantize Start" begins when the first loop starts over?
I was thinking "Session Record" was a linear way to record but not sure how to rewind or fast forward(?)

When quantize start is On,

When quantize start is On, any loops other than the initial loop will wait to begin recording until the start of the initial loop. With it off, you can start playing anytime. In both cases the loop *length* will always be rounded up to the nearest bar boundary based on the current tempo (and currently hardcoded 4 beats per bar), thereby keeping everything in musical sync.

Session Record is just like a tape recorder, recording a stereo wav file of exactly what you are hearing as long as it is switched on. You can grab it later via Wifi Transfer, or play one back by loading it in as a loop. Just a warning, because reverb is included in that session audio file output, you might get a little too 'verby when you load it back in. There is no transport control for loops right now, will eventually be added.

Go to Loop->Load, switch to the Sessions tab and hit Edit. Or you can swipe across the list item to activate the delete for that item. This is the case for many lists in TJ, including the loops, loop sets, preset and samplesets.
