CANNOT JAM WITH IPOD

I am able to load a track from my Ipod into Thumbjam but the sound almost completely obliterates the Thumbjam instrument. The Volume Boost button does not work and I can't bring up the mixer to adjust levels. Anyone have a suggestion?

Unfortunately, that's the way it is, Apple does not allow us to reduce the level of the ipod audio without adjusting the master volume of the entire device. That in combination with the mastering loudness wars in modern popular music makes this a real problem. The app volume boost slider should do something for you, but it risks distortion of the ThumbJam audio.
I wish Apple would let us reduce the level independently as much as you do.
