Export to iTunes?

Post by Mr.Thumbs »

I would love to be able to export songs to my iTunes library from within ThumbJam. For example, I use "ReelDirector" to edit short films. It would be nice to compose a soundtrack in Thumbjam, export the audio to my iTunes library as a song, then access that song through ReelDirector (which allows iTunes songs to be mixed with video.)

I know a few other software packages allow you to grab things from your iTunes library, including some games. It would be a great way to make ThumbJam content more accessible in other apps.

As far as I can tell there is no direct way for any app to export audio files *into* the iTunes library. If ReelDirector supported some of the audio copy/paste options (sonoma wireworks AudioCopy/Paste, for example) then you could use that to paste it in. Of course, apps can read songs from the iTunes library, but I'm pretty sure none can write to it.

Thanks for the response Jesse, I'll try to contact the ReelDirector developers with a copy/paste feature request.
