2.1.1 issue on 2nd instrument - sustain lock - unable to unlock sustain.

Post by genmce »

Hey - the updates in 2.1 are awesome.
I love this program.

I am using 2.1.1 - I have one issue that has presented itself.

When I load a second instrument and have Thumbjam split 1|2.
The right hand instrument (2) sustain lock seems to freeze on me.
I am unable to turn sustain off and get stuck in a drone note(s)for instrument 2.
I like being able to setup the drones like that, but when I want to switch to a different drone note, it won't let me turn sustain off. The only way to stop sustain on instrument 2 it is to close out thumbjam.

I am on ipad 1 - os 5.1.1.
Do you need more information?

thanks

Thanks for reporting that, definitely a bug.

Note that you don't have to quit the app to stop stuck notes though... you can go to Sound->Volume/iPod, and hit the Silence All button in the lower left of that popup. Or, if you enable CoreMidi in Prefs->MIDI Control, enable network session, and turn on Network Session in MIDI Output Connections (or any output), an "All Off" button will appear in the lower right corner of the play area which will also stop all sounding notes.

This doesn't fix the fact that instrument 2 is stuck with sustain locked on, no matter what.... that does require a full kill of TJ. Sorry!
