ThumbJam and The Improvise Approach

Post by CarrieLennard »

Take a look at a new way of engaging people with special needs in creative music-making using ThumbJam and original backing tracks at http://www.improviseapproach.com
It comes as a downloadable ebook from the iBooks Store complete with built-in backing tracks! There are also pictures to label each piece of music so that players can request their own choices if communication is difficult. Also, lots of information and ideas on how to use this approach with groups.

For people already familiar with The Improvise Approach setup, there is a music album with all the backing tracks (with and without count-ins) on iTunes called 'Improvise One' https://itunes.apple.com/us/album/impro ... 1140431846
Carrie Lennard has been working in special education music for 30+ years and has extensive experience in both teaching students with complex needs and publishing resources to meet them.
