Various requests

Post by Bob »

Here goes...

Snare with brushes

Blues guitar......Fender Strat for example

Baritone Sax

Jazz Guitar....Gibson archtop...artists like Larry Coryell , Herb Ellis, Lee Ritenour, Joe Pass

French Horn

Wurlitzer piano

Guitar with wah effect

Don't know about others but I'd glady pay a per instrument price or as a bundle for good acoustic samples.

I have a French horn (not the absolute greatest, but good enough that I've used it in several compositions) available for download here, along with various other things (none of them from your list, though) ...

Use any of them that you like.

Got a few instrument requests:

- a wood recorder (maybe an alto or tenor so you can use octave shift to replicate soprano thru baritone)
- ukulele (maybe concert model - same reason as above)
- clarinet (for New Orleans jazz!)
- oboe
- vocal ooo's and aah's
- metal body resonator guitar

That's all!

I have a clarinet and an oboe you're welcome to use -- for some reason, I hadn't uploaded them to my instruments page (see my previous comment in this thread), but they're there now.

Thank you so much for sharing. BTW, how did you set it up to get the files to download right into TJ from safari?

That was a new feature of TJ 2.0. If the link is a ZIP file, it just works. Convenient, right? :)

A warning regarding downloading a zip with Safari and opening it in TJ:

I downloaded one of the zips from above, and after choosing "Open with ThumbJam" in Safari, TJ started – and crashed. After that, all my user samples sets were gone. The presets are still there and even the downloaded sound is there, but my own samples are lost. :(

ughoenig, check out these posts: http://thumbjam.com/node/1017 and follow the directions I give there, to find out if your files are still actually there. I bet these cases are related to the same bug.
