Layering sounds

Post by TRD »

Is it possible to layer sounds such as different horn sounds together on the same midi channel to get a horn section that I can play from a midi controller? I can't seem to figure this out! Thanks

You can't do it within ThumbJam by itself, but you can use it if you use Audiobus, or AUM and load individual Instrument outputs from TJ, while feeding it midi input using a midi filter that takes input from one channel and converts it to another. Then you load the instruments in different slots in TJ, and you hear them all at once. It's a pain, sorry! You can also do it with standalone midi filtering apps like midiflow, etc, and not use Audiobus or similar.
