Hi All! This is my first post on this forum but I've been using ThunbJam for a couple of months and it stands up easily the most thought out and in depth app I've used. Continually blows me away: especially finding the voice to pitch!

I've started creating my own patches out of sampled instruments and using Thumbjam as a sound module triggered through iRig midi by a drum machine. It works great but I have found a few limitations with this:

- Once you have created an instrument you cannot edit any of the samples individually. I would like to have control of the Start, Loop Start, Stop, Legato Start, Gain, Pan, Note and Fine Tune available after the instrument has been created. Also, control of the pitch beyond fine tune of each sample would be a great tool for one shot samples.

- Thumbjam's Loop section doesn't accept midi clock or start stop messages. Also, the loops can only be paused and not reset to the beginning of the loop which is quite frustrating when trying to drop thumbjam in with other machines on the fly.

Other features I would love to see:

- Landscape mode (I'm sure it has been asked for but really needed!)

- Finger position volume control (as with Drumjam - moving your finger from bottom to top (or left and right) of a note cell to increases or decreases the volume or cutoff)

- Moon on a stick mode??

Yes it is availble on the axis but if you are using thumbjam flat on a table then there is no alternative to this control. You can control the volume by your position of your finger within the cell on drumjam. It's a pretty cool feature that would translate nicely to thumb jam.

Ah, but you can! It is just a little hidden. Edit->Sample, and press
the Sample Set button near the top. That brings up a list of all the
sample sets (the actual multi samples, independent of preset), hit the
blue arrow button on the right side of a row and it will bring up the
edit page for the sample set. Select each sample to get the page with
all the stuff you mentioned for each sample.

Will be adding the midi clock sync soon for sure, especially now that
I have DrumJam released which has it. You can reset the loops to the
start, just hit the | Other features I would love to see:

This will be added for iPad. It will probably not for iphone, as most
of the pages with lists become really compromised, among other
reasons.

Does the existing X-axis volume option not do it for you? Or the
X-axis LPF cutoff option? Both of these refer to your finger touch/drag from left/right, and are not related to tilt.
I know the "loudest in center, quieter on
the edges" things for the x-axis volume is generally commented on,
perhaps a full one-direction width option will be added later.

That's right, the pitch recognition is monophonic, and also has a lower bound on recognized pitch. There are some things I can do to improve that though, and I will.

It is pretty fun though, right?
