Would it be possible to add a little more control to the pitch detection to make it a little less (twitchy / responsive), and perhaps limit the range to that of the octaves displayed, to help prevent picking up harmonics and jumping octaves.

I assume accuracy through averaging would be at the expense of responsiveness, but could we have control of the number of samples to analyse before detection occurs... interested to know if you are you using FFT or peak detection ?
