Separate MIDI channels for left/right keyboards

Post by senrabad »

I've been having so much fun with Thumbjam controlling an arpeggiator, but it would be really nice if I could use 1 side for arpeggiator control, and one for solo stuff.
For me, ideal would be to choose midi channel per side (including using no midi out for one side.
Thanks for all of the fantastic work on your legendary app!!!

You actually can do a midi

You actually can do a midi channel per side if you load the second instrument: press the '1' button in the sidebar (or in the key change popup #/b on iphone/ipod). Then you can use select it to be 1|2 when split is active, turn off channel per touch in the MIDI output options, and there you go! First side will use the selected midi output channel, and the other split will be that +1.

There are some bugs with some of the CC output on the second channel, that will be fixed in the upcoming v2.3.
