I tried to map the piano's pan to the Y axis and noticed high notes played on the left side and bass notes on the right side (opposite compared to when you play piano in real life), it would be cool to have an "inverted-Y" option too for some instruments in future releases maybe. Even being able to choose a % of max panning could be useful for subtle settings...

Good idea. And actually the built-in Grand Piano already has the correct subtle panning by default if you turn the pan control to None.
