Re: Using ThumbJam as a Live MIDI Controller
OK, to get MIDI from TJ to windows with a wired solution (always the best in terms of latency, etc) you will need some additional hardware. Various products from iConnectivity will work, such as the mio2 or iconnectmidi2 (or any of the bigger ones): https://www.iconnectivity.com/midi-interfaces-1/ T...

Hmm, it definitely sounds like something very strange is going on over there. Contact me at support@thumbjam.com to continue the conversation....

Re: Pitch bend, tilt, latch
Hmm, I guess there isn't a way to do that right now! The behavior exists the way it does now, so that you can sustain a chord or something, then play a solo note over it and bend it independently with the expression gestures. It even does this when you are physically holding the other notes, only th...

Re: TJ Crash when deleting sample
Unfortunately no, the built-in or downloaded instruments can't really be edited fully from the app. There are some definite improvements that could be made on how all of this works. It sounds like you specifically want the ability to control the lowest and highest notes playable by an instrument, wh...

Re: Limited range of notes + another instrument suggestion
You are right about all your comments... the process of creating/editing instruments is not great, and improving it has been on the TODO list for a loooonnng time.
No, it doesn't support soundfonts now either....

Re: TJ Crash when deleting sample
OK, if you are trying to delete the whole downloaded instrument (which is the only allowable option right now) you have to do it by swiping the instrument item in the "Sample Set" list. I will make sure you can't try to delete individual samples within it.

Re: Manual with screenshots and problems creating splits
Sorry about the lack of updated manual! The Splits and Slots are best thought of as entirely independent things that happen to be in the same popup. The #Splits control at the top defines how many separate playable areas are visible on screen, 1 means no splits, 2 is 2, etc. The instrument slots are...

Re: Volume problem with Audiobus+Garageband
It depends on the instrument, and how you are controlling it... some patches have volume controlled by tilt and if you aren't aware they could be less loud than expected. In general I chose not to produce quite as loud a signal as most other apps, because I wanted to leave headroom for layering mult...
